Meet our Staff


Luis G. Hincapie, MPT, ATC

Luis graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA and received his Masters degree from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He has over 24 years of clinical experience in various aspects of rehabilitation including Critical Care patients. He was published in Critical Care Medicine on Rehabilitation of Chronic Ventilator dependent patients. With a Sports Medicine background, he brings a wealth of knowledge with our outpatient/Orthopaedic patient population. He has gained teaching experiences as an adjunct faculty with Temple and Widener Universities. Luis holds certifications in Ergonomic and Spine Evaluations, hand rehabilitation, and Strength and Conditioning. When he is not problem solving and teaching at the clinic, his passion is in coaching youth competitive travel soccer teams.



Marta Padilla, PT

Marti followed her calling and graduated from Temple University’s PT school in 1983. She specialized in Neuro PT and has spent the majority of her career in this specialty working with children and the elderly. Her pediatric work included developmentally delayed children. “I’m a General Practitioner/Jack Of All Trades,” Marti says jokingly. Meaning she studies hard and is always researching and taking new courses that may help meet the needs of her patients. The most memorable experience for her was the two mission trips she took to Romania and Belarus to work with children.



Eric Yuen, DPT

Eric has been a member of the Fortaleza Physical Therapy family since 2010. He has been practicing for over 4 years and is currently the Senior Physical Therapist at the Hunting Park location. He is also an APTA Certified Clinical Instructor for physical therapy students.

In 2007, Eric graduated from Temple University with a Bachelors’ Degree in Health Information Management and a minor in Business. During his undergraduate studies, Eric also completed and received a Certificate of Honors and a Certificate of Interdisciplinary Studies in the College of Health Professions and Social Work. Following his Bachelors’ Degree, he continued his education with Temple by earning his Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
Eric is skilled with working with all types of patients, but his specialty is in orthopedics, sports, and occupational injuries. His future plans include achieving the Certified Orthopedic Specialist credential and obtaining a license for direct access.

In his personal life, Eric enjoys running, fitness, and everything related to bacon. Eric is also fluent in Cantonese and is in the midst of learning Spanish.



Mark Nimchuk, DPT

Mark has been practicing physical therapy for the last 17 years in a variety of settings. After graduating Temple University in 1997, he worked at Temple hospital for almost 10 years, primarily on their ventilator rehabilitation unit, where he also co-authored research article on rehabilitation of ventilator dependent patient. Mark has experiences as a travel physical therapist, home care physical therapy and outpatient therapy. He has recently completed courses specializing in kinesiotaping and use of the Graston technique to treat musculoskeletal injuries. My hobbies include playing racquetball and golf. I'm also an avid snowboarder.



Jay Patel, MPT

Jay has been offering sterling, competent and diligent services as a clinical Physical Therapist now since 2004. He has completed his Masters in Orthopedic and Sports Physical therapy from Manipal University, India. He is also certified in “Upper and Lower Quater Neurodynamics,” “Mulligan’s” and “Kinesio taping” techniques. He has successfully treated wide range of musculoskeletal and sports injuries with population ranging from early teen through the life span. His area of expertise includes but not limited to Shoulder, Hip, knee and ankle injuries, irrespective of conservative or pre-post surgeries. His philosophy of treating the individual with correct education backed by evidence based practice drives the attitude of the practice. He has also presented a research paper on volleyball players at the 30TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF INDIAN ASSOCIATION OF SPORTS MEDICINE, BELGAUM, in November, 2008. Jay completed his entire education in India and performed private practice along with holding a Lecturer and clinical physical Therapist post at Charusat University, Changa, India until mid 2010. Then he migrated to United States to be close to the family and is successfully licensed in New York State since 2011 and Pennsylvania since 2013. Currently, he is practicing at Fortaleza Rehab since Jan 2013. Jay is an active Life member of World Confederation of Indian Association of Physical Therapy, Life member of Indian Association of Sports & Medicine.



David Scott, DPT

David graduated from Guilford College in 2003 with degrees in English and Education studies before becoming a classroom teacher in the Philadelphia Area. In 2012, he stepped away from teaching to pursue another career in Physical Therapy. He graduated from Widener University in 2016 with his doctorate in PT. He is excited to be a part of the Fortaleza family and help bring quality and effective care to the patients here! David is an active member in his community, acting as a commissioner and board member in the volunteer-run CASA Soccer League and participating in school/community enrichment programs. He enjoys playing and watching soccer, hiking/camping and staying active as possible.



Manish Patel, OTR/L

Manish has been a licensed PA Occupational therapist for the last 13 years, where he has practiced in all areas of rehab. Manish has extensive experience in outpatient rehab, where he specializes in rehabilitation of the upper extremity and hand, as well as splinting, for clients of all age groups. Manish also possesses advanced certifications which enable him to conduct Functional Capacity Evaluations for workers compensation, disability, and post hire pre-placement screens. In addition, Manish possesses a certification in ergonomics, which allows him to consult and perform as an ergonomist to aid in work injury prevention. His expertise in the areas of ergonomics and functional capacity evaluations has lead to adjunct lecturing at universities and colleges.



Kelly Mea, OTR/L

Kelly has been practicing Occupational Therapy for 8 years and graduated with a Masters in Occupational Therapy and a Bachelors of Health Science from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. She has worked in various settings which include Inpatient, Mental Health, and Outpatient. Her future plans include passing an exam to be a Certified Hand Therapist. She’s also completed utilization and peer reviews for companies in need of an Occupational Therapist to justify the need for services; dependent upon ones' injuries/deficits. Kelly enjoys the beach, mountains, and anything that is physical and active, specifically basketball as well as spending time with her 3 year old daughter Makenzie.


Joshua Rivera, ATC

Studied Athletic Training At West Chester Univ. 1998-2002. He went to study Sports Medicine at Temple University in 2002-2005. He’s worked with various sports groups at Temple University, Widener University and locally at Nueva Esperanza Academy. Josh is a member of NATA and enjoys bowling, football, and Pina Coladas.



Anna Walski, DPT

Anna graduated University of the Sciences in 2015 with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She joined the Fortaleza family in 2010 as a volunteer, then worked as a physical therapy aide, and finally started working as a Physical Therapist upon graduation. Anna splits her time working with patients in the Physical Therapy gym and in the aquatic PT pool. She is currently pursuing her McKenzie certification. She is fluent in Polish. Anna enjoys staying active, traveling and is currently a new fan of American football. Go Eagles!!



Vincent Ngo, DPT

Vincent received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of the Sciences in 2014. He mainly has experience in outpatient orthopaedics with a clinical experience in a skilled nursing facility. Vincent has an interest in obtaining his Strength and Conditioning certification and has taken an interest in functional movement assessments (SFMA.) He enjoys going out to eat, working out, and staying active.
